Obama’s Plan May Be on Hold, But Cap-and-Trade is Still Advancing in the States
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Tom Borelli’s Townhall.com commentary describes the extent to which states are implementing their own cap-and-trade plan. To no surprise, this effort has nothing to do with combating climate change:
Despite the claims by governors that RGGI combats climate change and spurs investment in renewable energy, this cap-and-trade scheme is an energy tax with the revenue being used to plug budget gaps.
It’s worth noting that both Republican and Democrat governors are advancing this scheme.
