Tensions Rise As Unemployment Benefits Expire

Unemployment agencies in Indiana are planning to beef up security as the deadline quickly approaches for unemployment benefits to end in December.

Marc Lotter, a spokesman for the Department of Workforce Development, told TheIndyChannel.com:

“Given the upcoming expiration of the federal extensions and the increased stress on some of the unemployed, we thought added security would provide an extra level of protection for our employees and clients,” he said.
