Obama's Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Just in time for Black History Month, President Barack Obama announced his reelection plan to appeal to black voters by launching “African-Americans for Obama.”
Obama’s campaign website cites:
“President Obama has helped strengthen the African-American community by addressing issues like education, health care, unemployment, and taxes.”
Obama claims to want to help those who are less fortunate. His actions, however, speak otherwise.
In reality, the consequences of Obama’s policies have proven to be especially harmful for the black community.
Regarding education, Obama put an end to the DC Opportunity Scholarship Program in 2009, a program that helped disadvantaged minority students.
Both of Obama’s children, by the way, attend private schools.
Thankfully, U.S. House Speaker John Boehner revived the scholarship program in Fiscal Year 2011 through a budget agreement and restored power back to the parents so that their children can have an opportunity to obtain a quality education and have a successful future.
