N.C. House: We’re Not Going to Get Bullied by the Obama Administration

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The Justice Department determined that North Carolina’s bathroom policy -using the bathroom that matches your biological sex- is in violation of federal civil rights law. Reports speculate the feds might try to restrict funding to North Carolina or pursue legal action if they don’t change the policy, though the Justice Department hasn’t commented either way.

North Carolina State House Speaker Tim Moore has made it clear, he will not be intimidated.

TheBlaze reports:

… “Obviously we don’t ever want to lose any money, but we’re not going to get bullied by the Obama administration to take action prior to Monday’s date,” he said. “That’s not how this works.”

North Carolina has to respond to the Justice Department’s letter by Monday, and is reportedly on track to meet that deadline.

Shouldn’t the Justice Department be a little busy right now investigating Hillary Clinton and the Department of Veterans Affairs? This is the insanity of the progressive agenda. Rather than focusing on paying off $19 trillion in debt, ending our ridiculous nuclear deal with Iran, fixing the disaster that is ObamaCare, improving the long waitlists at the VA, or lowering the regulatory and tax burdens on small businesses, the Obama Administration is focusing its efforts on: men’s and women’s bathrooms.

Where are our priorities as a government, and as a society?

North Carolina should stand its ground. If the federal government wants to bully states, it should at least start by withdrawing funds from states with sanctuary cities.
