Missouri State Senator Called For Trump Assassination
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
A Missouri State Senator called for the assassination of President Trump on her Facebook page.
The Washington Post reported:
Democratic state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal went on her personal Facebook page Thursday morning to vent two days after the president blamed “both sides” for the brutality.
“I put up a statement saying, ‘I really hate Trump. He’s causing trauma and nightmares.’ That was my original post,” she told the Kansas City Star. The Facebook post received many responses, Chappelle-Nadal said, and to one she replied, “I hope Trump is assassinated!”
Chappelle-Nadal deleted her comment and said she regretted her post and the Secret Service is investigating the threat to the president.
A number of elected officials have called for her to resign.
From Fox2Now:
Chappelle-Nadal said she had great remorse for a post on her private Facebook account in which she said she hoped President Trump would be assassinated.
In spite of all the calls for her go, including those from leaders in her own Democratic Party like Congressman Lacy Clay and U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, Chappelle-Nadal said she would not step down.
“Yes, I am going to fight. I represent a district that is challenged with so much,” she said.
The media promoting the narrative that Trump is a white supremacist sympathizer is generating extreme comments from black elected officials.
