Missouri State Senator Compares Trump to Hitler

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Censured Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal is in the news again.

Chappell-Nadal is doubling down on her disdain of President Trump by comparing him to Hitler in a meme.

Fox News reports (see meme):

State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal posted a meme that shows Trump taking off a shirt. By the time the shirt is off, Hitler’s face is revealed in place of Trump’s.

The meme parodies a much-criticized Dove body wash ad that shows a black woman removing her brown shirt to reveal a white woman underneath in a light-colored shirt. Dove apologized for the ad, which many social media users called racist.

In August, Chappell-Nadal vented on social media about how much she hated President Trump following his comments on the rally violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, and hoped for his assassination.

The Washington Post reported:

Democratic state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal went on her personal Facebook page Thursday morning to vent two days after the president blamed “both sides” for the brutality.

“I put up a statement saying, ‘I really hate Trump. He’s causing trauma and nightmares.’ That was my original post,” she told the Kansas City Star. The Facebook post received many responses, Chappelle-Nadal said, and to one she replied, “I hope Trump is assassinated!”

Although Chappell-Nadal faced mounting calls for her to resign over her assassination comment, she still remains in office.
