Rockefeller Throws Constituents Under the EPA Bus
While hard working Americans are struggling to keep up with rising food and gasoline prices, President Obama is using his executive power to continue to wage his war on fossil fuels which will only increase family hardships by driving energy prices higher.
The Senate is expected to vote on an amendment offered by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to block the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), known as the Environmental Punishment Agency on this blog, from regulating greenhouse gas emissions. Meanwhile, Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) is doing his best to stop McConnell by offering a counter amendment that would only delay EPA’s action.
Obama is allowing the EPA to move forward with its plan to regulate greenhouse gas emissions even though the regulations will force energy prices even higher and discourage manufacturing companies from investing in the U.S.
As The Hill reports, it appears Rockefeller’s amendment may fall short of the 60 votes needed to pass.
The coal industry is important to the livelihood of many citizens in West Virginia and Rockefeller’s actions to defend Obama and the EPA over his constituents is just outrageous!
