President Obama Throws Black Community Under the Bus
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
President Obama’s support of gay marriage has split his progressive base.
Obama’s stance on gay marriage has alienated religious black pastors some of whom have openly stated they will no longer support the President.
Choosing the gay community and its fundraising capability over the social values of blacks may cost him politically in key swing states such as North Carolina and Ohio.
Clearly, Obama’s campaign is in deep trouble. At this stage of the game, Obama should have a united base and then pivot to the middle to appeal to independents who will decide the outcome of the election. Instead of running to the middle, Obama is playing damage control with religious black leaders.
