At least one former member of Hillary’s staff, Brian Pagliano, is invoking his constitutional right to protect himself from self-incrimination in the ongoing Hillary email scandal.
A former State Department employee who helped Hillary Clinton set up her private email server says he will assert his Fifth Amendment right not to testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
…The top Democrat on the Benghazi committee, Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, confirmed the Pagliano letter in a memo to fellow Dems. Cummings says he is not surprised that Pagliano would wish to take the Fifth given what the congressman calls the “wild and unsubstantiated accusations” against Clinton, the former secretary of state and current Democratic presidential candidate.
Rep. Cummings’s response is classic….”wild and unsubstantiated?” Has he been reading the news lately?
While invoking the Fifth is his right, Pagliano’s decision is another damaging blow to the Clinton presidential campaign. Even if we entertain the possibility that he didn’t do anything wrong, it sure makes it look that way.
