Longtime Clinton Pal Terry McAuliffe is Being Investigated by FBI, Justice Dept

Virginia Governor and longtime Clinton pal Terry McAuliffe has a lot more in common with Hillary Clinton than you might think.

For example, both are being investigated by the FBI and the Justice Department.

CNN reports:

Virginia Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe is the subject of an ongoing investigation by the FBI and prosecutors from the Justice Department’s public integrity unit, U.S. officials briefed on the probe say. The investigation dates to at least last year and has focused, at least in part, on whether donations to his gubernatorial campaign violated the law, the officials said.

… Among the McAuliffe donations that drew the interest of the investigators was $120,000 from a Chinese businessman, Wang Wenliang, through his U.S. businesses. Wang was previously delegate to China’s National People’s Congress, the country’s ceremonial legislature.

… Wang also has been a donor to the Clinton foundation, pledging $2 million. He also has been a prolific donor to other causes, including to New York University, Harvard and environmental issues in Florida.

When it comes to the Clinton Political Machine, where there’s smoke, there’s fire. This is not the last we will hear about this story.

The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll has Hillary Clinton barely squeaking out a victory over Donald Trump by a 3 point spread. Clinton has a long road ahead. The general debates haven’t even started yet, and she’s still taking political punches from Bernie Sanders.

These are the kinds of stories that can take Hillary’s polling negatives beyond recovery.
