The Black Lives Matter Movement is Anti-Israel

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The Black Lives Matter movement has decided to delve into foreign policy.

Seriously.

According to TheĀ Washington Times:

The Black Lives Matter movement blindsided its Jewish supporters with the recent unveiling of its social and political policy agenda, a far-left manifesto that strays well beyond police brutality and accuses Israel of ā€œgenocideā€ and ā€œapartheid.ā€

ā€œThe U.S. justifies and advances the global war on terror via its alliance with Israel and is complicit in the genocide taking place against the Palestinian people,ā€ said the platformā€™s ā€œInvest-Divestā€ policy brief.

Through foreign aid to Israel, which the platform describes as an ā€œapartheid state,ā€ Americans are made ā€œcomplicit in the abuses committed by the Israeli government,ā€ the brief says.Ā The strong anti-Israel language stunned liberal Jews, many of whom have expressed support for the Black Lives Matter movementā€™s protests against shootings by police of unarmed black men.

…Ā In addition to condemning Israel, the platform includes demands for race-based reparations, breaking up large banks, voting rights for illegal immigrants, fossil fuel divestment, an end to private education and charter schools, a ā€œuniversal basic incomeā€ and free college for blacks.

It’s not really clear why a movement to protest police brutality has decided to attack Israel and the Jewish community. Maybe it’s because the “Black Lives Matter” movement is a cousin of the “War on Women,” a progressive creation to rally people into identity politics duringĀ an election year.

Tragically, liberal activists have hijacked the unrest in minority and low income communities (once again) to advance the failed policies that keep those very same communitiesĀ on the government plantation.

We have to break the cycle.
