Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Trump blasted the United Nations after its vote to condemn Israel settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Using his Twitter account, Trump called the United Nations “a club.”
ABC News reported on Trump’s assessment of the U.N.:
The president-elect wrote on Twitter that the U.N. has “such great potential,” but it has become “just a club for people to get together, talk and have a good time. So sad!”
On Friday, Trump warned, “As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th,” referring to the day he takes office.
Trump worked to stop Egypt from introducing the U.N. resolution but other countries took the anti-Israel banner and brought it up for a vote which passed 14-0.
Trump accurately described the U.N. The international organization really is a club where high-minded talk is a premium and meaningful actions are rare.
It’s time for the U.S. to stop funding the U.N. for its incompetence.
