Senator McCain Blasts FISA Abuse Memo Release
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Senator John McCain (R-AZ) blasted the release of the House Intelligence Committee memo on FISA abuse by the Department of Justice and the FBI.
The comment by McCain states the release of the memo only serves the interest of Russia President Vladimir Putin.
McCain said, “The latest attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice serve no American interests – no party’s, no president’s, only Putin’s.”
By referencing Putin, McCain’s comments echo those made by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
The statement by Pelosi also referenced Russia:
.@realDonaldTrump has surrendered his constitutional responsibility as Commander-in-Chief by releasing Nunes’ unredacted, classified memo. His decision undermines our national security and is a bouquet to his friend Putin. pic.twitter.com/kdUgIrCE6l

McCain is a longtime critic of President Trump and the senior Senator from Arizona is not an innocent party when it comes to the anti-Trump dossier written by former British spy Christopher Steele.
In fact, McCain played a role in spreading the smear against President Trump when he gave the Steele dossier to the FBI.
The Daily Caller reports:
One person who was provided a copy of the salacious document, written by former British spy Christopher Steele, is Arizona Sen. John McCain. But McCain, who has already acknowledged providing an early version of the dossier to former FBI Director James Comey, denied this week that he also gave a version to BuzzFeed, which published it on Jan. 10.
“I gave it to no one except for the director of the FBI. I don’t know why you’re digging this up now,” McCain said during a testy exchange with The Daily Caller on Wednesday.
McCain’s statement exposes his unrelenting bias against President Trump.
