President Trump’s job approval rating crossed the 50 percent mark.
According to Rasmussen Reports:
Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-eight percent (48%) disapprove.
The poll is President Trump’s best approval rating from a year ago this time and is higher than former President Obama’s approval rating during his second year.
This is the president’s best overall job approval rating since April of last year. President Obama earned a 46% job approval rating on April 4, 2010, his second year in office.
President Trump’s approval rating was as high as 50 percent several times since the beginning of the year never breaking the mark.
Since January 1, he has managed to hit 50 percent three different times, but not go over. His lowest approval was 42 percent so far in 2018.
Earlier this week, Rasmussen reported President Trump’s approval rating at 50 percent, this following the departure of Trump Administration officials and staffers from the White House.
The poll was taken after a number of developments in the Trump administration, including the departures of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, national security adviser H.R. McMaster and Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin. A number of White House staffers have also recently exited, including communications director Hope Hicks, a longtime aide to Trump.
