Poll Suggests Democrat Resist Effort Is Energizing Base
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
A new Fox News poll shows Democrats are more energized about voting in the midterm elections in November.
The poll found Democrats have an advantage in the generic Congressional question on whether the respondents prefer voting for Democrats versus Republicans.
Democrats are also more enthusiastic about voting in November than in previous years.
Fox News reports:
Democrats are more interested in the upcoming midterm elections and more enthused to vote than usual, and that helps them to an 8-point edge in the generic congressional ballot test. This amid widespread concern that the country’s political debate is overheated and even dangerous — to the point that many voters steer clear of talking politics with family and friends.
Fifty-four percent of Democrats are “extremely” interested in the November elections, and 51 percent are more enthusiastic about voting than usual, according to the latest Fox News national poll.
Judging by the poll, the resist everything President Trump effort is energizing the Left-wing base.
The harassment of members of the Trump administration and Republican elected officials is another sign of an energized base and defy everything Republican.
If Republicans want to keep control of Congress they need to match the intensity of the Democrat opposition.
