Democrats Trying to Distract Americans from Biden Ukraine Controversy

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Democrat 2020 presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden called out President Trump this weekend, saying he’s “abusing power,” following Trump accusing Biden and his son Hunter of possible corruption with Ukraine.

Incensed over a whistleblower complaint alleging a “promise” made by President Trump to a foreign national leader in a phone conversation, Democrats are prompting calls for President Trump’s impeachment.

The story about the phone call came to light from a government whistleblower who expressed concern about the nature of the discussion.

Now, Democrats are claiming President Trump pressured Ukraine’s president to conduct an investigation of a political rival.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Additional reporting revealed that the conversation likely took place between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July about possibly investigating Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

Not surprising, Democrats are more focused on criticizing President Trump than investigating the actions of both Biden’s.

Watergate reporter and CNN correspondent Carl Bernstein compared the Trump-Ukraine story to Watergate.

Biden insisted he did not talk to his son about Ukraine but a story in The New Yorker quotes Hunter confirming he did talk with the former vice president about his role in the Ukraine natural gas company Burmisa Holdings.

The New Yorker reports:

“As Hunter recalled, his father discussed Burisma with him just once: “Dad said, ‘I hope you know what you are doing,’ and I said, ‘I do.’”

Biden says Trump’s phone call with the president of Ukraine was an example of the president abusing power and he will “beat him like a drum” in the presidential election.

President Trump commented on the Biden – Ukraine connection.

The Trump campaign released an edited video exposing former Vice President Joe Biden’s hypocrisy over Ukraine.

Rather than get to the bottom of the truth, Democrats are distracting Americans by blaming President Trump for pressuring Ukraine and by doing so, they are providing air cover for Biden and his son Hunter.
