Bloomberg Climate Change Plan Will End Use of Coal and Natural Gas

Former New York City Mayor and 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg announced his plans to attack climate change.
Bloomberg wants to close every coal-fired power plant in the U.S. and over time end the use of natural gas.
His overall goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50 percent by 2030.
Bloomberg announced his plan in Alexandria, Virginia.

In addition to seeking to close the remaining 251 coal power plants, Bloomberg wants to “Immediately stop the rush to build all proposed gas plants.”
His ultimate goal is to generate 100 percent of electricity from clean sources.

Bloomberg is a serious climate change policy warrior and his plan would drive electricity prices higher and destroy jobs in the energy sector as well as harm manufacturing jobs.
