House Democrats Join Biden in Throwing Israel Under the Bus

Pelosi Joins 36 Democrats in Calling for Ending Weapon Transfers to Israel

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) joined 36 other Democrats calling for President Biden to halt weapons transfers to Israel. In the letter to Biden, the Democrats cite the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the recent killing of food aid workers in an Israeli airstrike.

Part of the letter reads, “In light of the recent strike against aid workers and the ever-worsening humanitarian crisis, we believe it is unjustifiable to approve these weapons transfers.”

France 24 English covered the House Democrat letter.

Pelosi’s decision to join progressive Democrats in opposing Israel is not surprising since she has been very critical of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an interview last month.

House Democrats are following pressure exerted by Biden last Friday where he urged Netanyahu to initiate a ceasefire in the war with Hamas. According to new reports, Biden was very direct and threatened Netanyahu by saying Israel must change course with the war or the United States would make a change with its support of Israel regarding its war with Hamas.

Pelosi was criticized by Rabbi Michael Barclay in an opinion piece he promoted on X.

Democrats are turning on Israel, our ally in the Middle East, because of politics. Biden is losing support from Muslim voters in states like Michigan over the war and they are willing to throw Israel under the bus in order to win in November.

Democrats only care about power.
