MSNBC’s Mara Gay ‘disturbed’ at Seeing ‘dozens of American flags’ in Long Island NY
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
MSNBC contributor and New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay was “disturbed” at the sight of “dozens of American flags” while visiting Long Island, New York.
Gay claimed the problem was supporters of former President Trump and that it’s a racial issue about “Americanness” and “Whiteness.”
Fox News reports:
“I think that as long as they see Americanness as the same as one with Whiteness, this is going to continue,” Gay said, turning to race and adding that “Americanness” and “Whiteness” needed to be separated.

Critics commented on social media.
Dear #MaraGay,
Please stay off Long Island, NY. We (3.5 million strong) don’t need or want you here!
Sincerely,
Patriotic Long Islanders

The New York Times defended Gay’s comments.
New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay's comments on MSNBC have been irresponsibly taken out of context. Her argument was that Trump and many of his supporters have politicized the American flag. The attacks on her today are ill-informed and grounded in bad-faith.

It’s no wonder the liberal media hated former President Trump and his followers.
Gay’s comments are very consistent wth the “deplorables” remark by Hillary Clinton.
The comments by Gay are outrageous and gives an insight into the way liberal networks and publications really feel about patriotic Americans.
