Senator McConnell Slammed by GOP Senators for Backing $1.7 Trillion Budget Deal

Senators Johnson and Lee are Critical of Senate Leadership

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was slammed by two of his Republican Senate colleagues for backing the Democrats $1.7 trillion budget.

Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee criticized McConnell and the other 17 Republican Senators who voted to support the Democrat omnibus budget bill that funds the government through September 2023.

During a radio interview on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM, Lee called the budget deal “the ugliest spending bill on record.”

He added, “Our party leadership turned on Republican voters, turned on the Republican base, turned on most Republican senators.”

Earlier, Lee blasted the budget bill during a press conference.

Lee continued with his criticism from his Senate office.

Republican Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson also criticized the budget.

“The arrogance of our [Senate GOP] leadership who said, ‘We know better than House members. We’re going to pass this. We’ll get religion next year when it comes to fiscal sanity,'” Johnson told John Catsimatidis in a Sunday interview that aired on national radio.

Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called out the Senate Republicans who voted for the bill.

With the Republicans taking control of the House of Representatives in January, it’s outrageous McConnell and other Republicans backed the Democrat budget.

McConnell is a disaster just like President Biden.
