Senator Sanders Backs Voting Rights in Prison Including Boston Marathon Bomber

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) wants to allow felons to vote from prison including the Boston marathon bomber.

Sanders made his comment in response to a question about voting rights during a CNN town hall event with 2020 Democrat presidential candidates.

A follow-up question from CNN host Chris Cuomo included the possibility that his support of allowing the Boston marathon bomber to vote from prison could be used against him in a political ad.

Sanders was adamant in his support for all Americans to vote and was not worried about the political consequences, saying, “This is a democracy, we’ve got to expand that democracy, and I believe every single person does have the right to vote.”

On a question about foreign policy and Israel, Sanders was very critical of the Israeli government.

The Daily Caller reports:

“So what I believe is the United States gives billions of dollars in military aid to Israel. What I believe is not radical. I just believe that the United States should deal with the Middle East on a level playing field basis. In other words, the goal must be to try to bring people together and not just support one country, which is now run by a right-wing, dare I say, racist government.”

The CNN town hall allowed Sanders to express his extreme views on policy matters.

Allowing terrorists to vote from prison is outrageous as is calling the Israeli government racist.
