Tea Party Activists From Across the Country Meet in DC
Tea Party activists from around the country attended a FreedomWorks Fly In event at the grassroots organization’s Washington D.C. office this past weekend.
The goal for the weekend event was to discuss the results and lessons learned from the last election and ideas for going forward.
I was on a panel discussing minority outreach and was quoted in a story by Alex Pappas from the DailyCaller.com, “Tea partiers discuss ways to keep movement alive.”
During my panel discussion, I emphasized the importance of staying away from party labels and that the message to the black community should focus on topics that clearly illustrate how big government policies, such as failing government-run schools in urban communities and our country’s flawed energy policy, hurt their communities.
