Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
According to the LA Times, officials have stated that “nearly 100 officers have been injured in the days of confrontation, 13 of them seriously enough to be placed on medical leave and 15 on light duty.”
There is a difference between peacefully protesting and straight-up criminal activity. Nobody is denying that the justice system needs reforms. But stealing from your neighbors and burning down your own city isn’t going to get anything done.
Society improves through empowerment and education, not anger.
In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr:
“Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
