Democrats, Anti-Trump Media and China Blame Trump for Coronavirus

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The spread of the coronavirus continues to impact the everyday lives of Americans with dramatic drops in the stock market, local governments suspending large gatherings, and sports leagues and colleges canceling and delaying contests.

Congress and President Trump are working on legislation to blunt the economic impact and the Federal Reserve is injecting cash into the banking system.

With the high political stakes, Democrats and the anti-Trump media are working overtime to blame President Trump.

CNN is accusing President Trump of trying to blame China for the virus but their hypocrisy was exposed by the Media Research Center.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid criticized the idea of low-interest loans.

2020 presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden presented his plans to deal with the virus during a press conference Thursday and accused President Trump of blaming China.

Biden made his announcement from Wilmington, Delaware, following President Trump’s coronavirus national address on Wednesday night.

The teleprompter speech went beyond laying out a proposed plan on handling the coronavirus, with Biden wasting no time targeting President Trump, calling his plan a “colossal” failure.

Biden also called President Trump’s travel restrictions “xenophobic.”

President Trump’s travel restrictions on China were also criticized by Biden earlier this year.

China, the source of the pandemic, is also trying to blame the U.S. government.

Earlier this week, Chinese officials criticized U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for calling the virus the “Wuhan coronavirus,” saying this would “stigmatize” China.

Deputy director of the Foreign Ministry Information Department Lijan Zhao tweeted about Pompeo’s remarks, saying, “It has not yet been determined where the virus originated.”

However, the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Office International des Epizooties refutes Zhao’s assertion over the origination of the coronavirus.

CNBC reports, “The new coronavirus was first reported to the World Health Organization in December last year, after emerging in the central city of Wuhan.”

With the noise and confusion surrounding the coronavirus, President Trump’s adversaries are desperately trying to leverage the crisis for political gain.
