Classified Documents Found at Biden’s Delaware Home

Another batch of classified documents were found at President Biden’s Delaware home on Wednesday in his garage and an inside room.
Earlier this week, classified documents were also found at the University of Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C.
Just days before the mid-term elections, classified documents were discovered on November 2, 2022, by Biden’s lawyers in the former office he used at the center after serving as vice president.
Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the appointment of a special counsel to investigate.
The AP reports:
Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday appointed a special counsel to investigate the presence of classified documents found at President Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, and at an unsecured office in Washington dating from his time as vice president.
The Republican House Judiciary Committee also launched an investigation into Biden’s classified documents and requested communications and documents from Attorney General Garland.

Commenting about the classified documents, White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said the documents were “inadvertently misplaced.”

Critics commented on social media.
The President just said that the documents found in his garage are in a "locked garage" like his corvette. The corvette standard is actually not in classified protocols…

While serving as vice president, Biden did not have authorization to declassify documents and the fact that classified documents were not secured under his supervision is a matter of national security.
Given the way the Justice Department works, it’s highly unlikely Biden will be held accountable for taking classified documents from the government.
