Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin Kept Hospitalization from Biden
Biden and National Security Chief Jake Sullivan Were Kept in the Dark for Days

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin kept his hospitalization for three days a secret and failed to inform President Biden or National Security Chief Jake Sullivan about his health status.
Austin’s hospital stay included four days in the intensive care unit at Walter Reed Medical Center following complications from a surgical procedure. The surgery was described as an elective procedure.
According to Politico, Pentagon senior official Sasha Baker attended a White House meeting in place of Austin but at the time, Sullivan and Baker didn’t know the defense secretary was in the hospital.
It appears Austin remains in the hospital.
Another Politico story, reported White House officials were shocked to find out about Austin’s hospitalization.
ABC News reported on Biden being kept in the dark.
CNN also reported Kathleen Hicks, the second-in-command at the Pentagon, was not aware her boss was in the hospital.

Austin released a statement on his situation and stated he “could have done a better job ensuring the public about was appropriately informed.” He added, “But this is important to say: this was my medical procedure, and I take full responsibility for my decisions about disclosure.”

Austin’s decision to hide information from Biden and the public is highly irresponsible and speaks volumes about the way our country is being run.
It’s especially concerning because Austin was AWOL during tensions around the world including the Israel war with Hamas and the fighting between Russia and Ukraine.
No doubt our adversaries are taking notes about the chaos in the Biden administration.
