Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
‘I just don’t know where this comes from,’ Clinton said. ‘Maybe it’s because Sen. Sanders wasn’t really a Democrat until he decided to run for president.’
Boo!
‘He doesn’t even know what the last two Democratic presidents did,’ she continued.
Boo!
‘Well, it’s true, it’s true,’ she said. ‘You know it’s true. It happens to be true. And I’ve got to tell you, I look at our last two Democratic presidents, were they perfect? No. No person is. But I’ll tell you I would take the two of them over any Republican anytime, anywhere.’

Simply put, Hillary is actually right about this one. Senator Sanders is a self-described socialist and had been Congress’ longest-serving independent before deciding to run for the Democratic nomination in 2015.
Interestingly enough, Hillary’s accusation of Bernie not being a “real” Democrat mirrors what many Republicans have said about GOP frontrunner [score]Donald Trump[/score] – that he wasn’t a conservative until deciding to run for President. Regardless of your opinion on that debate, the fact remains that these “fake” Democrat and Republican candidates continue to bring out record numbers of voters, unlike anything seen before in a primary process.
